This is an awesome and challenging rock scramble and hike in the Hudson valley, New York. It has an immediate rise of 1200 feet and three great summits. Timber Rattlesnakes and Wall Lizards can be spotted on the rocks along the route. With incredible vistas of Mt Taurus, Storm king and the Hudson river, makes Breakneck a must climb!

What a fabulous photo of Rob and such an incredible rock scramble he undertook! Some people just dream of doing challenging and awesome feats and others just do them – Rob is obviously the latter and I am glad he shared this great photo with everyone.
My last comment is … “wall lizards”? Better Rob than me!
Take care and continue to enjoy life to the fullest, Rob. You are certainily inspiring.
Susan
Can you pet the rattlesnakes and lizards
WOW ROB, IT SURE LOOKS LIKE A BLAST. I CAN FEEL MY LUNGS BURSTING ALREADY !! THE MOUNTAINS OF NEW YORK SURE ARE BEAUTIFUL. IT BRINGS BACK MANY A MEMORY OF HIKING WITH THE BOY SCOUTS YEARS AGO. KEEP US ALL POSTED ON YOUR JAUNTS.

Looking strong Mr. Rodman! That’s a mighty big walking stick you have!
I still can’t figure out how you got an 840 ventilator to the top with you. Must be the martial arts training!
Rob, you fresh air junkie you! What an excellent picture!
Awesome hike!!
Wow Rob! Hope you didn’t encounter any Timber Rattlesnakes or Wall Lizards along the route. What a fantastic hike that must have been. Continue to enjoy your outdoor adventures.
Must have been quite a day. Beautiful scenery and fresh air for sure.
Wow Rob! Hope you didn’t run into any Timber Rattlesnakes or Wall Lizards along the route. Continue to enjoy your outdoor adventures.
Nice photo Rob, love the scenery.
PS. You look great. (Not diggin’ the lizard thing, though… I’m just sayin’)
Great write up…love the hiking upstate N.Y. provides. Rob looks great after an exhausting hike.

Rob – that looks awesome! Question: If your last name was Torchman instead of Rodman- would you be holding a Torch instead of a Rod? If you did, Tina would start singing “My Statue of Liberty”..la,la,la,la,la….
What a beautiful picture. The scenery is God-like. Makes me feel like if you placed that big rod down, it might turn into a big rattlesnake (like Moses in the Ten Commandments).
Sounds like I’ve been sniffing too much fresh air.
Thanks for sharing. You are the best.

Wait ’til we climb Mt. Marcy!!!!!!
Beautiful adventure! Looks airy and peaceful. The only thing you need is a USA Flag at the top of that pole – it’s like landing on the moon, except that you get to breathe on your own with the magnificant air supply! Beats a CPAP machine!
Hey Rob,
Beautiful view! Where to do pee? Hang a flag on that pole while you’re at it!!! Nice job!
I think I should get a pair for having the craziest comments!!!!!!!
……………..or at least a cool hat as runner up!
RR
Just so y’all know, he’s still up there, holding up that pole.
