Here’s the new Overland Equipment S.E. Bayliss Tote. It is a workhorse disguised in an attractive and compact package, and you might like it too. The ballistic nylon exterior of this sturdy little purse promises durability and versatility. It offers an ergonomic design making it convenient to carry. This S.E. Bayliss tote hugs the body and allows you to be active while still retaining your necessities.
As a carry-all bag, this tote offers three separate compartments to hold your belongings. The front flap pocket has an easy magnetic closure for quick access to items you’ll want right away. It also features a zippered mesh pocket and a handy key clip to keep them safe as you go about your day.
There is a larger main dual-zippered compartment to nix your need for a wallet, with six credit card slots, a pen pocket, and a larger slit pocket for passports or checkbooks. This compartment also offers two fleece-lined pockets to protect a cell phone or camera.
Finally, as if this little Pandora’s Box of a purse didn’t already give you enough homes for your things, there is a large zippered pocket that offers space for bulkier items, or, perhaps, an energy bar to help you charged up.
For the shoulder carry, this Bayliss tote a one inch-strap that is comfortable and adjustable. The strap uses a pressure lock buckle, and the bag can be worn across your body, or as a fanny pack around the waist.
Although this bag is designed for rugged use and functionality, it keeps the user organized on day trips and sightseeing in town, while still looking fashionable. I preferred slinging this lightweight bag over my shoulder and wearing it close to the hip, confident my belongings were secure. This versatile nylon purse can be toted on dusty trails, or touring distant locales.
The interior sweet vine and bee pattern is an exclusive print. And the contrasting color of the 210 D ripstop nylon lining adds flair and hipness. It seems to have a vintage feel, while reminding the wearer that proceeds go to benefit bee friendly gardens in Chico, California.
For its 30th Anniversary, Overland Equipment is committed to rebuilding the declining bee population. I was instantly charmed by the color of my bag — coined poppy/light denim print, which is a beautifully deep rusty red, with denim blue colored printed lining, but it is also offered in other attractive color combinations. I immediately had the urge to empty everything out of my everyday purse and simplify my life by using this purse day in, and day out!
As an extra bonus, Overland Equipment contributes to a green friendly world by also providing you with a roomy Everyday Shopper bag that can be folded up neatly into a tiny pouch with a caribiner hook that you can conveniently attach to your Bayliss tote for unexpected trips to the grocery store, or purchases while on the go. The shopper is constructed of the pretty vine and bee denim colored fabric, matching the interior of your Bayliss purse.
Though the inside of the S.E. Bayliss has a lofty prettiness, the no nonsense nylon and ripcord stylings of the exterior promise to make this purse a trusty companion in the great outdoors. The well-designed, curved shape of the bag make it feel cosmopolitan and worthy of someone who doesn’t have the time to lug around unnecessary items as they explore! This little gem has all the room you need for necessities, while managing to look sleek and pulled together. Throw it over your shoulder, and get ready to roam the world.
